An apparent international misunderstanding has led to the Fiji government attacking Microsoft. But thankfully for the departing Bill Gates, he’s receiving a missive rather than a missile.

Humans regularly seek larger sizes and more speed — maybe it’s a throwback to some sort of evolutionary advantage or some an expression of dominance. Either way, speed is the primary driver behind Blackswift, a hypersonic jet project the pentagon is working on. But, doubts about being able to meet the Pentagon’s specifications are putting the project’s funding in jeopardy.

The good news for those who haven’t adopted the iPhone yet is that the rest of the market is scrambling to keep up and deliver new handsets to challenge the quickly growing dominance of Apple’s wonder handset. The bad news is that now you’ll have to actually decide which one to buy!

Microsoft has written an open letter to customers updating them on the transition from XP to Vista, and the eventual introduction of Windows 7. The company’s key claims are that Vista is more secure than XP, Service Pack 1 has made file management much quicker, and compatibility problems are fading away.

Remember cell phones were huge? I don’t, but it’s 2008 and starting on July 1st, it’ll be illegal to talk on a cell phone and drive in the great, golden state of California unless you’re wearing a wireless headset. The restrictions are worse for minors. Live in another state? It still matters.

Those are compelling words, especially for employers looking to increase the quantity of work employees output in a day. Prolix aims to serve. It’s a project initiated by the European Commission and its goal is to improve productivity though the appropriate application of learning in the workplace.
