What two things empower every company? That’s easy: customers and employees. But somehow Microsoft seems to be forgetting that as it grows more aggressive in its plans to take over Yahoo. With enough disgruntled employees, Yahoo may come apart at the seems leaving Microsoft with a series of loose threads connected to hidden treasures.

Microsoft’s bid to take over Yahoo is still ongoing, but with the three week deadline set by Steve Ballmer for a decision from the Yahoo board on a friendly takeover having gone by without comment on Saturday, the gloves are now coming off, and Microsoft will have to decide which way to play it now.

At first it might have seemed like the RIAA is innocently out to protect the rights of artists, but enough is enough. Now the RIAA is filing a suit against Project Playlist, the music player used on MySpace to play music that has been approved by artists for consumers to listen to and include on their personal pages.

Rumors have been circulating that the iMac would be receiving an update soon. Normally, Apple waits to Tuesday to update its product line but logging onto the Apple website I was greeted with an updated iMac.

As suspected, Filedropper did indeed pull the offer of free 250Gb accounts due to extreme demand but they are not gone forever. The free accounts will be returning tomorrow.

Psystar got off to a rough start, first it couldn’t get its address right then it couldn’t get it right a second or even a third time and second there were questions as to whether it was legitimate or not. Well, it appears that the company may indeed be real because a video of what may be the first "in the wild" Psystar Mac "clone" has surfaced.

The Atera and the VW GX3 both are three wheel cars with two front wheels and one back wheel. There the similarity ends. The Aptera was originally designed as an electric car that has added a hybrid twin. The VW is strictly gasoline.

For a limited time Sony was offering a free PS3 with certain Bravia HDTV models but now it seems the company may have some trouble actually delivering on that promise. A reader wrote in with some problems he has been having receiving his PS3.

You may have come across this story on any number of news sites, Filedropper, a new file sharing service was offering free lifetime subscriptions to its 250Gb accounts to anyone who signed up before May 15; or rather, it was. Go over to the subscription page today and the offer is nowhere to be found. My guess is that demand was so high that it doesn’t want to have so many users with free accounts.

Abilene Christian University made headlines in February when it announced it would be the first university to provide an iPhone or iPod Touch device to all incoming Freshmen. The school’s chief information office and director of re-engineering had a chance to defend the gutsy move, but — despite the plan’s cool-factor — it’s still destined for failure.

For Microsoft, the introduction of its new Live Mesh platform is almost an admission of defeat. After many years of taking a proprietary view of software and insisting that PC based applications were the only way to go, to jump into the online social application field is a huge change in tactics for the software giant.
