RIM is working hard at developing a touch-based phone platform to rival Apple’s iPhone and HTC’s Touch. Carmi Levy, an analyst for AR Communications, believes the device is "the future of the BlackBerry franchise."

Germany has joined with France in making the iPhone available as an unlocked product, not tied in to a particular network with a long term contract. This leaves the UK as the only European country, where the iPhone is available, that isn’t offering an official unlocked option.

When you think Google, you probably think search engine, and, with Google trying to move into the wireless industry, it may be a bit confusing as to what Google’s doing with itself. Let’s not forget one thing: the core of Google’s business is advertising. With that in mind, it would make sense why Google would want to redefine TV.

After being originally scheduled for release in July, Firefox 3 was finally released in beta this morning. While this first beta version is only a preview for testing purposes, it does give some early indications of what the final release will include.
