10 years without a personal computer might cause any sane person to die a little inside. 10 years in prison without a personal computer and a $500,000 fine looming over that same person’s head might make them wish they could just give up the computer for 10 years.

Though I think nearly everyone is guilty of a little piggy-backing at one point or another, a recent poll revealed that over 50% of the UK is admittedly piggy-backing their way to the internet at least once.

Last month Google changed the Page Rank algorithm, a move which upset many bloggers, including major players, who saw their PR drop over night. Now, it’s changed again, as it seems a host of blogs and bloggers who have used PayPerPost and similar services have seen their PR drop to a big fat zero.

In news that Sony executives have been praying nightly for, the PS3 outsold the Wii in Japan from Nov 5th-11th. Even better for the beleaguered console, it wasn’t the result of price cuts or satanic rituals, but an honest to goodness game people wanted to play.

Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, unveiled a few screenshots of his new application which looks on first glance like some sort of Google/Facebook hybrid. So is Wales on the verge of creating a search engine/social network which could go after the market leaders in both fields?

The three consoles are all gearing up for the biggest Christmas showdown, possibly in history, or since last year at least. And it looks like this could be the holiday season of the Nintendo Wii… no surprise there. But will the Xbox 360 really be able to outsell the PS3 by 2 units to 1?
