Watchdog asks US Congress to probe alleged Google copyright violation The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), a US-based nonprofit group, is urging the US Congress to investigate the alleged violation of copyright on both Google's video site, Google Video, as well as the Google-owned video-sharing site, YouTube. The NLPC has sent a letter to Congress containing a detailed overview of research it began last summer.

Influx of 1.2 million Halo 3 players crashes Xbox live Microsoft has said time and again that the infrastructure behind Xbox live is "sufficient" for any demand but apparently its not.  Last night, a number of Xbox live users signing on to play Halo 3 discovered that they would have problems signing in and if they did manage to get signed on, staying connected would be difficult.

MySpace blocks Aussies from accessing mobile MySpaceAustralians had been locked out from accessing the newly launched ad-supported free mobile version of MySpace, The Sydney Morning Herald report said.

Apparently, the decision was made in line with the existing partnership deal with Optus, which has the exclusive rights to offer MySpace mobile through its Zoo portal up until October.
