Apple can’t catch a break these days from CPU whining sounds, flickering displays and cracking computer cases it seems they aren’t used to all this negative attention. Apple just released the 10.4.10 update for OSX Tiger which is causing headaches for some users.

Shadowrun, one of the first computer games that used “Games for Windows Live” service, which offer cross-platform matches between Windows Vista gamers and Xbox 360 players has been reportedly cracked for Windows XP system by a hacking group named ‘Razor1911.’

The failure rate of Microsoft's Xbox 360 next-generation gaming console reached an incredible 30% in the months after its launch, according to an Australian retailer.
A failure rate of up to 5% is considered normal, with most companies aiming for a failure rate of 2% or less.

The PS3 is sitting in third place behind both the XBOX 360 and very popular Nintendo Wii. Sony CEO Sir Howard Stringer is not bowing down to defeat and has outlined a plan to save the ailing console. Stringer holds both US and British citizenship but he played that down saying "I am not a foreigner. I am a Sony warrior."

Nintendo's Wii next-generation gaming console has broken yet another record, this time in Australia, having sold more than 100,000 units in the six months since its launch. This makes the Wii the fastest selling console to reach 100,000 unit sales, according to market research company GfK.

Despite ongoing reports about the high failure rates of Microsoft's Xbox 360 next-generation console, Todd Holmdahl, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of Gaming and Xbox Products Group maintains that the "vast majority of people are having just a great experience".

It’s no secret that the Nintendo Wii has been selling like hotcakes, making both Sony and Microsoft attempt to redefine themselves and the types of customers they want to attract. In light of all these facts, Sir Howard Stringer, the CEO of Sony said there is no doubt that consumers want a price cut for the PS3 which is under “consideration” at the moment.

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and if that's the case, Nintendo should be very proud. First, Nintendo released the motion sensing Wiimote for the Wii, and then Sony said its SIXAXIS would have motion sensing and now that same function has made its way to XBOX 360 controllers.

It appears that the 80GB version of the PS3 has launched in South Korea. It must have because there is only one reason to have scantily clad women around, it’s either a college party, trade show or a large corporation is launching a new product, my guess is that’s the case here. If anyone out there can read Korean maybe you’d like to help us out.

The Wii is the third most powerful console behind the XBOX 360 and PS3 (but which one of those is number one and two can and will be debated). It’s not the fact that the Wii is in third place but it’s a far far away third place.

With the success of the Halo 3 beta, Microsoft is expecting sales for Halo 3, the XBOX 360 and Halo 3 accessories to top sales charts this coming fall/holiday season. I expect everything Halo 3 will be at the top considering that over 800,000 unique players amassed 12 million hours of gameplay during the 1 month beta trial, according to data that GameDaily acquired.

Microsoft doesn’t want to share much information with anyone these days. After a government ruling that sided with Google, Microsoft was supposed to provide a beta of Vista SP1 before the end of this year.
